Frequently asked questions
General
Nutrition therapy is a personalised, evidence-based approach to improving health through diet and lifestyle changes. It looks at the root causes of symptoms and aims to support the body’s natural healing processes.
As a nutrition therapist, I focus on the whole person not just the food they eat. I consider digestion, sleep, energy, stress, and more. It’s a holistic, client-led approach tailored to your unique needs. (Note: I am not a dietitian and do not work in a hospital setting.)
Common areas I support include:
• Fatigue and low energy
• Digestive issues (bloating, IBS, reflux)
• Blood sugar balance
• Hormonal imbalances
• Immune health and inflammation
• General wellbeing and preventative health
The discovery call is a free 20 minute chat designed to help us both decide if we’re a good fit to work together. It’s informal and there’s no pressure to book afterwards.
During the call, we’ll:
• Talk briefly about what health concerns or goals you’d like support with
• I’ll explain how I work and what you can expect from nutrition therapy
• You’ll have a chance to ask any questions you may have
• We’ll discuss next steps, including available packages or session types
Please note:
This is not a consultation and no personalised advice will be given during the discovery call.
Yes, all consultations are available online via Zoom. This allows flexibility and access from anywhere in Ireland or beyond.
During the first session, we’ll go through your health history, lifestyle, and goals in detail. You’ll receive personalised advice and a clear action plan. Follow-ups are used to adjust and deepen your plan as needed.
This depends on your goals and how complex your case is. Many clients see improvements after 2–3 sessions, while others benefit from a longer-term plan over a few months.
Sometimes. If I feel they will support your goals or reveal deeper insights. I always explain why I’m recommending them and whether they are essential or optional. Any additional costs will be clearly outlined.
Yes, I regularly work alongside medical treatments. I’ll always ask about your medications and aim to complement your care, not replace it. I may refer you to your GP if something needs medical attention.
I offer flexible, practical meal guidance rather than rigid plans. This might include recipe ideas, food swaps, shopping tips, or structured plans depending on your needs.
Some private health insurance policies in Ireland may offer cover for nutritional therapy. Please check with your provider. I can provide a receipt upon request.
You can book directly via my social media or email. You can also book a 20 minute discovery call to see if we’re a good fit.
